Comic Strip

In 1976, as a young 8th grader with a huge admiration for Charles Shultz, I decided that I wanted to become a
nationally syndicated cartoonist. With the help of my Grandma Piccolo, I created my first character: “Weelow the Whale”™.

Unfortunately, getting into the papers is a much more difficult task than simply submitting a great idea with terrific art.
It’s all in the timing. So far, I have not had very good timing.

However, Weelow HAS been published in my art curriculum locally, which is used to teach youth how to draw.
